ICER - ANY TIMELINE WITH SENTIENT ICE CREAM

Icers are technically not a distinct species, but rather a common condition that can befall otherwise normal sentient ice cream cones. Because this timeline does not feature naturally occurring living ice cream, these entities are quite rare. However, just as living desserts can make their way into our reality, so can Icers.

Icer’s range in size, but are typically between two to four feet in height. These sentient desserts appear in the shape of a standard waffle cone with a large dollop of ice cream on top, their face gazing out from within the cream. The eyes of an Icer are sunken and pure white, without pupils or irises. This is because, unlike most living objects, Icers are not living at all.

These entities are spirits, remnants of sentient ice cream cones who have ridden the lonesome train. They possess a number of unique abilities corresponding with their phantasmal features, such as the ability to phase through solid objects at will, and the ability to render themselves invisible by drifting in and out of the mortal plane. Most notable to the Icer, however, is the powerful chill that overwhelms any living creature within twenty yards of them.

Regardless of what color or flavor Icers were in life, their undead form is always a pale blue. Their flavor is putrid and sickening, often defying description by those who taste it. The closest approximation is that they taste rotten, which wouldn’t be a problem if not for the fact that all food within the Icer’s twenty yard chill will quickly take on this flavor as well. The condition of this spoiled food is irreversible.

Because of this, Icer hauntings are a bane upon grocery stores everywhere. If an Icer is detected, staff will immediately hire a ghost hunter to fix the problem. This is typically done through a number of phantom capturing devices, or in some cases by helping the Icer with their unfinished business.
