i have some thoughts and feelings about this important way. please take a moment to read. thank you:

hi there buckaroos this is chuck tingle some of you have been my long time buds and some of you might be just now hearing about my way. i have written many short stories you may have heard of. ‘space raptor butt invasion’ was nominated for a hugo award once, and chuck myself was nominated the year after. maybe you have seen my covers and shared with a bud sayin ‘that is funny’ or ‘that is moving’ or ‘that turns me the heck on.’

all of these are PERFECTLY VALID way to enjoy my work. while chuck creates with a deep sincerity in what i do, the ultimate purpose can be boiled down to bringing joy to this timeline in the way i best know how. every step of my journey has been an effort to bring MORE of this joy, and to PROVE LOVE IS REAL to as many folks as possible. i strive to create spaces where SINCEREITY is celebrated however absurd or silly or strange it may seem.

this journey has brought me to a HUGE NEXT STEP. largest leap chuck has ever taken. i am now releasing a horror novel with nightfire/tor/macmillan called CAMP DAMASCUS. this will be in hardcover at every book store you can think of (seriously buds). in other words THE TINGLEVERSE will be making its leap across the void between cult classic and ‘WHOA who the heck is that trotting through our regularly scheduled nielsen family life?’

as someone who enjoys their punk rock way and shaking things up while waving the flag of love i am very excited at this opportunity. i am excited for ME and i am excited for YOU the buckaroos, because in very genuine way i see us as a team. when buds ask ‘who are your fans, chuck?’ i tell them ‘same buds who went to midnight screenings of ROCKY HORROR. same buds who stayed up late in the basement ROLLIN DICE AT THE DUNGEON TABLE. same buds who built the APP or wrote the SONG or painted the PAINTING that was burning in their heart regardless of what anyone else said’. EVERYONE IS WELCOME IN THE TINGLEVERSE but ill be darned if the tingleverse doesnt attract the buckaroos who prove love is THEIR OWN WAY. the idea of us buckaroos kickin in the dang door — every human, unicorn, bigfoot, t-rex, and living object rolling into the mainstream while PROVING LOVE IS REAL EVERY STEP OF THE WAY — thats what gets me riled up and excited about this journey.
