Terroars are small mammals measuring no more than a foot in length and covered in yellowish tan fur. They have small tails and a dainty nose that’s triangular and pink. Inversely, terroar feet and ears are quite massive compared to the size of their bodies. The hind paws of this creature stretch out approximately six inches in length, and their ears protrude from their heads like enormous pink sails.
The disposition of terroars is one of eternal sloth, only active for two to three hours every day. Many believe this is a habit rooted in the lacking daylight hours of their home timeline, something the species never quite adapted to on this one.
Terroars are notorious for surprising those who discover them tucked in a little nook, hidden away while they slumber peacefully. Unfortunately, these moments of surprise can have disastrous consequences. When terroars are distressed, startled, or otherwise threatened, they will unleash an incredible, bellowing roar that is strong enough to kill small creatures and incapacitate average-sized humanoids. All glass or similarly fragile materials will shatter within fifty feet, and old, unkept structures have even been known to crumble. A human who finds themselves struck by this auditory blast can expect to lose their hearing for some amount of time, if not permanently.
Scientists have struggled to understand how such a small creature is capable of manifesting this incredible sound within the frame of their tiny body, and so far the results are inconclusive. Some believe the might of a terroar roar based on their ability to vibrate between timeline layers, although this theory has not be thoroughly tested.
Because of their dangerous nature, most people operate with extreme caution around terroars. If one is discovered in your home, it is imperative you remove it with gentle, quiet care. Fortunately, this species is not aggressive, so long as they are not disturbed. Harmful encounters with terroars are less common than one might think.
