Monopolobs are highly intelligent reptiles, featuring bodies of a carnivorous dinosaur with the head of a human. They range in coloration, between dark green and brilliant yellow, but most of these creatures fall somewhere in the middle.

Monopolobs are the dominant species of their home timeline, surviving years of evolution and eventually arriving at as thriving (if not cutthroat) culture, which is similar to our own in many ways. Timeline scholars suspect a reality divergence occurred when the meteor that crashed into our Earth ended up passing without incident on the monopolob timeline.

These creatures worship business and finance, the concept of monetary gain informing most of their innate ethics and even religious beliefs. Because of this, monopolobs are often seen as highly immoral creatures on other layers of reality, while they are celebrated as heroes on their own. Even though this blind fervor regarding the bottom line has allowed monopolobs to thrive in many ways, they have also destroyed their home timeline in the process.

Unfortunately, this is the motivation for the majority of monopolob travel into other realities: they’ve used up every resource in their previous location but strive to continue their big business operations elsewhere. One might assume this to be an enormous red flag for any hiring staff a monopolob might approach, but this is not the case. In fact, monopolobs are highly sought after employees in the business world. While things typically crash and burn with a monopolob at the helm, there are always record profits during the years beforehand.

Monopolobs have their own distinct speech of chirping yelps, but as international businesspeople they are also fluent in the multiple languages of any timeline they inhabit.
