(Timeline Tuesday #2)
Cable creeps are exceptionally thin humanoids with gaunt features and pale skin. At first glance, they often appear as humans going about their business and electricians or repairmen, but closer inspection will reveal the truth of their otherworldly nature.
Cable creeps have a slight greenish tint in their coloration, and always sport dark hair that sits directly atop their large heads. Their ears feature a subtle point at the tip and their shoulder blades extend approximately six inches behind them. Cable creeps have thin-lipped mouths that stretch around nearly half of their face.
The most apparent difference between cable creeps and humans, however, are their unusually long fingers and toes. The creatures have three powerful digits at the end of each appendage, which allows them to climb and grip with exceptional skill.
Despite all this, cable creeps are similar enough to the humans of this timeline to blend in. It is helpful that these creatures are rarely on the ground where people can get a good look at them, preferring to go about their business high above any prying eyes below. They typically perform their work on rooftops or perched high atop telephone poles.
The specific purpose of these strange timeline invaders is unknown, although when pressed they are typically open about their connection to The Snow Channel. They can be found found draping long cords in and around homes, or connected to the neighborhood cable box with peculiar devices to provide signals from other timelines. There is evidence these creatures work directly under the instruction of Snow Channel Pete.
While the diet of cable creeps is unknown, there are multiple reports of them catching small birds or rodents while working, then consuming these items for a quick snack.
Reports of bizarre auditory and visual signals, as well as intermittent static, often occur once cable creeps complete their work and depart from a location.
