Thanks for giving me a fun watch-along! If you're into the radioactive toxic hyper-romance that is overflowing in this show, I super duper recommend reading just chapter 4 from The Queen of the Damned titled "The Story of Daniel, The Devil's Minion." It's literally fucking crazy - reads like the wildest toxic romantic fanfic you've ever read, except it's from the source material like. Anne How Did You Write This Gay Shit In The 80s? Literally read so many of the books, and not one chapter hits the screaming insane feeling that comes from the romance in it, and they've built suuuuch an interesting framework with adaptations leading into that chapter's mess. Also gives wildly new context to some of the characters, particularly showing Daniel's internal interests that the show has given us a fraction of. Like, huh. They're ALL a horrible mess, and it's delightful.
