The Sisterhood

Hey everyone!

As you know, I’m currently working on the Captains storyline, which will be the final story in the game. And of course I planned something special for this. So let me reveal a bit more about this story :)

Sisterhood of Sex

So this story has everything to do with a mysterious cult, called the Sisterhood of Sex! It’s an ancient cult that strongly believes in spreading love & joy, by having lots of sex. And by doing so, they hope to earn their place in paradise- which they believe lies at the heart of the universe...

Now these believes of the cult, will be very important this story. So I wanted to makes sure the player would really pick up on that. And therefore I added the scene below, where Keen will go through several pages of ‘relegious looking’ art, that sysbolizes the cults believes.

So, as part of this scene- I made the art that will appear on these pages. Which was a lot of fun to do I must say! And this will be the opening page, showing what the cult stands for.

Now when I imagined these pages, I was initially inspired by Tarrot cards- and took that as a basis for the composition. But give everything amore formal/relegious look, I tried to mix in some geometric shapes and glyphs as well.

And after I figured out the style for these scriptures, I started making more pages. Here are the initial sketches for those pages (these will be more by the way).

The glyphs

As you may know, the symbol for Male, is the same as that for Mars. And the symbol for Female, is the same as that for Venus. Which I always thought, was a kinda interesting concept. So now that I am making a sex-sci-fi game, I just had to do something with that concept- and so I did! Through the believes of the Sisterhood of Sex, I tied together the origin of the universe... with having sex. It's ridiculous of course, but that's what a humuristic space adventure needs right? :)

Well, I had a lot of fun making these pages- and imagining the sisterhoods believes. I hope you like it as well! Oh, and if you want to guess the meaning of those images above.. then please go ahead. I'd love to hear your interpertation of it!
