Location: Pumping Station

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all doing well :)

So for a while now, I’ve been working on the ‘Pumping Station’. This is a new location where Keen will learn a bit more about Yi-jie's hobby. And as you might have guessed by now... Yi-jie’s hobby is making pleasure droids :)

Now Yi-jie actually tells this to Keen when they first meet, but Keen misses this information because the machines in this room are so noisy. So when Keen is finally confronted with Yi-jie’s work, I wanted to make sure that Keen could not mis-interpret the situation anymore...

So, that lead to this design for the Pumping Station.

What you see here are various attempts of Yi-jie to make the perfect pleasure droid.

In game, the droid-parts at the top will be hovering again, so these were drawn separately from the background.

And then there is also a new droid that Yi-jie is working on. We will also see this droid in action, so it's made out of several parts so it can be easily animated.

In the end this became quite a detailed background, which took me a while to make. And below you can see how I did that.

I always start with a rough sketch, and then I refine each part of the image step by step.

And that's the Pumping Station ;)

NEXT

Well, I hope to be able to do another game-update around the end of this month! Most of the game is already in place, but I still need to finish 2 more XXX scenes. So I hope I can get those done in time :)

Meanwhile I’ve also been working on a new mini-game; it’s almost done & I can probably give you a preview of this next week or so.
