Hey everyone!

Here is another art update :)

For the Junker-ship I'm currently working at two backgrounds at once. This is because part of one background will be visible in the other, and vise versa.

So last time I made some rough sketches and now I am detailing those.  These scenes are pretty detailed & cramped with stuff. And in such cases I always find it easier to split up the backgrounds in layers. The two gifs below roughly show the steps I took to get to this point.

The scenes are almost finished in terms of line work & I look forward to coloring these!

This is the main hall of the junker ship:

This is the lower part of the junker ship:

(Oh. I noticed the gif-quality gets wierd if the image is scaled down -like in these posts- so they probably look better if you download them?)

Here you see the final sketch ;)

Steam Release -today!

And besides the art update, I also wanted to share that this evening Space Rescue will oficially be released on Steam :)

Now I'm actually no Steam-gamer myself, so I was a bit late to realise this. But by bringing Space Rescue to Steam, the game will be much more visible to everyone, then by just having it here on Patreon.  And so by doing this, I hope I can spend less time on promotion & more on the game development itself. Which is of course the real fun part of the job :)

And to my big surprise, Space Rescue already made it to the front page of Steam recently - so I suppose the plan works :)

Now you might be wondering how Steam compares to Patreon?

Well I'd say, if you purly like to play the game & get the updates, then the Steam version is probably most interesting for you. But if you also like to support the future development of the game, get art updates & a say in the development proces , then Patreon is the place to be.  And in both cases you play the same game, & get updates at (hopefully) the same time.

So now you know what's what :)

New webebsite done!

Well, and last but not least.; the new website is also done and up and running!  The old one is also still online, so for a while you can still compare them:

New:  https://spacerescuecodepinkgame.com/

Old:  https://spacerescuecodepink.wordpress.com/

And that's all the news I have for now. I hope you like it!

All the best!

Thank you so much Benjamin! But it's really all thanks to you guys that I can do this :) Your support allows me to spend all my time on the project - and that really helps to polish my skills. - And before I did this, I actually did a lot of art for my own D&D games -that's where I initially discovered the style I use now. You can find some of my old art on my website; Robinkeijzer.com , if you're interested :)

This is amazing stuff! I've decided to try my hand at a D&D themed game of similar style and WOW! It's A LOT OF WORK! I'm so glad you have the skill and time to make something so beautiful, fun, silly, and sexy for us to enjoy!

Auburn Zero

Thank you so much quantumsquid! I'm glad you like it so far :D And I'm happy to hear you discovered the game on Steam. I was hoping it would reach more people that way & I'm glad it worked out :) Welcome aboard!

Robin

I came in from Steam and probably wouldn't have noticed your game otherwise. Already played through all of the available content and enjoyed your artstyle and the joyous, light hearted theme. Looking forward to the coming updates!
