Time Travel Episode

Today we talked all things time travel, which fits since Lia and Amy have both tackled writing time travel books. I have not yet, but who knows what the future holds?

What time travel kdrama worked for you? One that didn't? Any time travel plot that you really want to see? Anything to get off your chest about time travel?

Like Yarrow, I am not a fan of time travel and nuts about Chicago Typewriter! Another one I liked that wasn't mentioned in the pod was Marry my husband. I loved the way they discovered they were both from the future whilst discussing which BTS songs they liked best, both of which didn't exist at that point in time.

In general I don’t like time travel stories, my sense of reality is wavery enough without that added fictional illusion. In fact just thinking about it makes my skin crawl. Am I the only GenX kid who doesn’t like Back to the Future? I mean I appreciate it, love the actors but the story, nope, not for me. I’m full of contradictions though because the top of my kdrama favorites list are Chicago Typewriter and Mr Queen, both have time travel. I guess I can like/love stories with this if the time travel is very simplistic, time jump like Mr Q or time walks in CT. I really am trying to make it through Tomorrow with You. It’s funny I don’t like this genre, my family has been watching Doctor Who since the 80’s (in the US we used to get video tapes from the library) and my kids just about wore out our Time Bandits video. Book wise I am enjoying Amy’s “I Love You Like It’s 1999” and I also liked The Glitch and The Ministry of Time. I tried listening to The Husbands and just couldn’t do it… full on skin crawl, so cringey. But I am glad to hear it was interesting and you all enjoyed it.
