Friday Watch Yay

Heyyyyyy…I don’t know what it is about autumn but it makes me want to lock in and get productive. Spring and Autumn seem to be my energetic “get ‘er done” times and Winter and Summer are for percolating and/or hibernating. How about ya’ll?

I’m getting a new gym membership, working on (and finishing lol) book proposals, starting to prep for my Dec 2nd book launch, and interviewing for a new role at my university (I enjoy my current role but wanted to do a stretch and try a new direction). It’s working in crisis management and while I can easily crash my computer due to 38483828 tabs and browsers…I’m pretty calm under pressures—thanks ADHD. Wish me luck and here’s to normalizing putting ourselves out there no matter the result :)

I’m also procrastinating from sharing that… yes I’m still watching Tempest. Nooooo, I’m not particularly enjoying. I’m also not actively disliking. I might be hyperbolic about it though in recording just for fun lol. I do want state for the record that I have a submarine “thing.” This fun fact appeared to surprise Megan and Amy. So let me out myself: I’m a submarine enthusiast

Do I ever want to spend significant time in one? Absolutely not. But I find them compelling.

I’m wrapping ep 7 so almost finished. Maybe I’ll still fall in love 🤷‍♀️. I really wanted to love it. I’ve also been watching Chief of War on AppleTV and have been much more invested in that story…def giving a violence warning though.

After Tempest I’ll need to get to Aema asap as we are going to be podding it soon. And I need to pick a new show simply for the love of the game.

Also as a hint… I’m editing Memories of Murder for next week which I did with Megan back in June but we haven’t gotten out. If you haven’t seen Memories of Murder…. Megan enjoyed it a normal amount. I REALLY enjoyed. It’s a hard watch so feels weird to say “I love it” but if you can love an “inspired by a true story” serial killer story… yeah I loved it. And fwiw… I rented it off YouTube. I’m picky on movies as I greatly prefer shows. But for me this was a 10/10 no notes top forever fave.
