Friday Weekly Dose Of Drama

I’m almost caught up on Queen of Tears, but I have to spend the whole weekend copyediting so that means avoiding spoilers like it’s my part-time job! I beg you not to message me with rants or raves on the ending. I’ll get there next week for sure!!! I’m obsessed. I won’t say more until it’s done.
We finished Shogun at our house this week. Anyone who wants to slide into my DMs to chat Shogun…the red carpet is out. I loved it in ways I never expected and it’s probably one of my favorite shows of all time. I had been very nervous there would be a white savior component and imo it didn’t go that route at all…and the women were chef’s kiss.
Spoiler: I haven’t read the book due to my above fear—I will now to compare.
Anyway, I have to turn in copyedits for my kdrama inspired time travel on Monday so I’ll be looking at my own words until my eyes cross for next 72 hours.

I watched My Beautiful Man over the weekend. I enjoyed it, however…every BL I’ve watched thus far feels like a dissertation in what happens if a pretty man with avoidant attachment and an awkward man with anxious attachment fall in love, with some vague BDSM undertones. I’m not sure what to do with this observation.

2024-04-28 17:11:30 +0000 UTCJust finished QoT ep 15 and my heart!!!! I picked up a j-drama Meet Me After School about a student falling in love with his teacher. It’s an older j-drama (2018 I think). It’s one of those beautiful and emotional j-drama. Forbidden love and going against social expectations etc. but this is where I don’t know how to feel … the student was 15 years old when the whole thing started!!!!! So yeah … I started Lovely Runner and it does look promising. And would love to start the new c-drama Will Love in Spring. Heard good first impressions and I love the actor. But I think his job has something to do with a funeral house and I don’t know if I am int he right space for that…
