I'm so bummed that Gaus Electronics doesn't seem to be getting the love from audiences it deserves. Admittedly, it took the first 2 episodes for me to get into the swing (first episode has some disturbing work-place bullying under the guise of humor) but it is so funny now - like, laugh out loud funny. But with an actual real, sincere relationships; sharp commentary on some of the absurdities of corporate life and a hysterical take on the chaebol heir character. It's filling the happy, fun spot that Youth MT had (plus it starts Kwak Dong-Yeong from that show and he was so funny and witty in real life too).

Maybe I'll pick it back up when all the episodes are out - or maybe not? Love is for Suckers is doing filling my rom/com/drama slot for now.

I can't imagine many actors being able to pull off such roles like he does. And this leads to another question: who do you all think is good in morally gray K drama roles? (Can be actors of any gender.)

2022-10-23 20:14:28 +0000 UTCSo, I have discovered something about myself that I didn't know: I have a thing for "real life" dramas as opposed to "fantasy" dramas. I love a good fantasy (Hello Lee Gon), but my top 5 (1988, Mr. Sunshine, Camellia, FOE, and IC) have no mystical elements. I feel good about, yet strangely bewildered by, this. Most of my favorite books have a fantasy or magical realist bent.
