Cry Me A River

Share a drama that made you cry. Sometimes (lots of times if you are Amy) we seek out a cathartic cry.

I have a lot but I’m going to say When the Camellia Blooms. There was a scene between the heroine and her mom that had me actually howling…I made loud enough noises that my husband came to check on me! -Lia

39 by far made me cry the hardest. I shed a least one tear in almost every episode of OH My Baby.

Saraiah

How are you watching it, did you find a less painful way to watch?

Sarah @afternoonaasks

God yes

Megan Erickson

I’ve been rewatching Moon Lovers here in Australia with a friend. We are doing hardcore binge of 5-6 episodes a day. I sobbed today. A lot.

Megan Erickson

Yes to You Are My Spring, especially the rooftop scene when the OTP kiss. Sweet tears.

Claudia Copeland

Honestly, I’m a cryer. Most dramas will have me sobbing at some point. But those two are this week’s watering pot culprits 😂

Melanie

It’s only a few episodes in so far, but Extraordinary Attorney Woo is hitting me in all the emotions 😭❤️ And I finally watched The King’s Affection — I don’t know why I’d put off so many fantastic ones 🤦🏼‍♀️

Melanie

The first kdrama I watched that really made me cry was a scene in You are my Spring. Maybe it just hit me that particular day but I sobbed. It was a good series. Watching Eve, which has Lee SangYeob, who was in YAMS too.

I'm in the middle of Her Private Life right now.... seeing this makes me super curious, and sounds like maybe I need to prepare myself!

Krista

Oh yes Just between Lovers! Junho… he twists my heart up ❤️

Sarah @afternoonaasks

CLOY had me sob-bing like I rarely do with movies and TV shows, I'm still surprised I cried this much. I also cried a good deal with Reply 1988 (specifically the confession scene -ugggh-, and when they showed the empty neighborhood at the end) and Just between lovers (which also has a very intense mother-daughter scene, very cathartic and wonderfully acted imo). Also, everytime they give Kim Seon-Ho's character a tragic backstory, tears come (start up, hometown chachacha).

For the most part I am a silent cryer (maybe because my kids are always saying: "Mom, are you CRYING????") but once the dam bursts, it is over. In CLOY the scene with Gu Seung-ju and Seo Dan - you know the one- gets me each time. OH MY GHOSTESS choked me up in one scene (I really liked the ghost), and of course, Goblin - you all know the scene. SCARLETT HEART broke my heart on many levels. I have yet to watch some of the ones mentioned so I expect to have some more feels when I start those.

Monica

I cried I think every episode of Tomorow. And Mr. Sunshine!!!

Tal A

Mr. Sunshine! And Goblin! The TEARS. All of em.

Krista

I’ll add anything with crappy stuff happening to kids. I think I even cried a bit at the bonkers ending of Her Private Life. Otherwise I’ll second a lot of the others: Camellia, IOTNBO, CLOY, Hometown… ok, I might cry easily at dramas too. 😂

Nicole H

Everyone has listed some really great tearjerkers here, so I won't repeat them. But one not listed yet that made me weep was Flower of Evil. Omg, it broke my heart to pieces and turned me into a soggy mess.
