Yoon Haeundae looks really really good! I just had someone else recommend to me on a fb group. https://www.yoon-nyc.com/. I was thinking Queens/flushing would have more too. Did you see this photo tribute to the Korean community there in Vogue? https://www.vogue.com/article/han-in-town-series-janice-chung

Haven't been to NYC in awhile, but I recommend these two: Yoon Haeundae Galbi and Kunjip in Ktown midtown. I would say all the best Korean bbq places are where I grew up in Queens, closer to Flushing. Manhattan Korean bbq is definitely more on the pricey side due to its location, but still solid. I also recommend Food Gallery 32 which is more of a food court style, but has different vendors for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Can definitely get busy, but will be fun to try different dishes and let the family pick and choose what they want!

From what I remember NY koreatown was only like 2 blocks long. But Bon Appetit did a video at BCD Tofu which is a pretty good sundubu jjigae chain that started in LA. https://youtu.be/e2U7GSGlHZ8

Very good food and experience. On the pricey side, but I found it worth it

Gaonnuri is a Korean BBQ restaurant in the heart of New York City, located on the 39th floor of the Nomad Tower with panoramic views of Manhattan.
