The Weekend Update
Added 2022-04-23 11:48:57 +0000 UTCSorry I’m a day late! I’ve had to travel to the great state of Indiana for my day job and my brain is still on BTS time from concert last weekend.
All that being said…what are you watching?
I’ve decided to stick with Our Blues. Hoping that is a good decision lol.
I’m also deep into D.P. I like it way more than I expected. (This is Lia by the way)
All right…tell us all the things!

2022-04-23 19:48:11 +0000 UTCI’m having trouble connecting to Viki through my Roku, so I had to put Strong Woman DBS on hold. I’ve continued to work my way through Miseang (just 3 more eps to go) plus I cherry-picked some of my favorite eps and scenes from Prison Playbook, Something in the Rain (I know, I’m a glutton for punishment but I just love the first 6 episodes so much), and While You Were Sleeping (it’s on Hulu and the commercial breaks drive me nuts!). Plus, I started watching My Holo Love (which stars Go Sung Hee who played Prosecutor Shin in WYWS) and I’m really enjoying it.

2022-04-23 19:13:03 +0000 UTCCurrently loving Hot Stove League, which is a suprise to me because I've never really been into sports, but it's so good ! After every episodes I go to my boyfriend to discuss the last plot twist and sport politics, the poor guy has never been able to make me seat and watch a soccer game and now he has to hear all about a fictional base-ball draft season in details 😁 And I needed something swoony and cute so I start Angel last mission : love and so far I like it a lot 😊

2022-04-23 19:00:22 +0000 UTCI too enjoyed Another Miss Oh; I wouldn’t have guessed it was the same writer as the other 2 (My Mister was mostly agony, and I haven’t started Liberation Notes because everything I’ve read makes it sound very sad and serious). Semantic Error grew on me after the first couple of episodes (the bullying/teasing is not my cup of tea).

2022-04-23 17:22:15 +0000 UTCI just did an IONTBO rewatch and loved it more the second time. The growth and healing. So good.

2022-04-23 17:11:16 +0000 UTCStarted Legend of the Blue Sea which I am really loving. Also loving Tomorrow, I think they deal with hard topics in a very tasteful? Classy? Understanding? way.

2022-04-23 16:59:01 +0000 UTCI’m excited to jump in to Shooting Stars. Only downside is that I prefer to binge, so waiting each week will be tricky. My husband wants to try Descendants of the Sun, so going to give that a go. I’ll probably throw in one more, just haven’t decided what yet. I’m just coming off what turned out to be a funny stretch of inner-beauty themed dramas (True Beauty; Oh My Venus - dropped, don’t even get me started; Beauty Inside). Might switch over to a historical next.

2022-04-23 16:40:54 +0000 UTCShooting Stars starts today, so Im looking forward to that. Meanwhile Im watching a Chinese drama from last year called You Are My Hero, and actually really loving it. Its a romance between a SWAT officer and a doctor and its super cute. They just like each other and its so awkward, but it feels so normal. And the conflict is not based on anything but them both having demanding professions, theres no love triangle on either side.

2022-04-23 16:14:42 +0000 UTCWatching IOTNBO and really enjoying it so far (have watched through episode 5). It is gorgeous. This is my first time watching anything with Kim Soo Hyun (except for the time I tried the first episode of My Love from the Star and wasn't feeling it - will definitely give it another try after this), and his acting is just wonderful. He has so much depth and emotion in his eyes. Kryptonite for anyone who is drawn to the kind of man who is desperately trying to hide big emotional boo-boos and just wants to be loved. The pairing with the actor who plays his younger self (Moon Woo-jin) is so believable. And Seo Ye-ji is absolute perfection in this role. I keep thinking they must have written this role just for her, bc I can't imagine anyone else pulling it off. Her voice! The way she moves so deliberately. She also does that perfect portrayal of pain barely hidden behind a brash and haughty exterior. How these actors control the light in their eyes, such subtle and meaningful changes from moment to moment, is always so amazing and fascinating to me. Also continuing to slowly make my way through Happiness with my husband. He has his shows too, so the pace has been a few episodes a week. Love the kick-ass/strong FL (Han Hyo-Joo), and always down to watch Park Hyung-sik in anything, but not sure how I feel about the drama overall so far. I enjoy the ambiguous chemistry between the two. The feeling of unrealized potential in their relationship makes me keep wanting to watch.

2022-04-23 14:41:43 +0000 UTCI finished Another Miss Oh, (same writer as My Mister, Liberation Notes) which reeled me in by degrees to the point when I was savouring the last few episodes and felt a bit bereft by the end, I really loved it, thanks to those who recommended it. I then finished Semantic Error in 2 days (! Though it’s only 8 short episodes) - I liked it but didn’t love it as much as I thought I would cos I’d seen a lot of love for it! Took me awhile to decide what I wanted to watch next - have gone for The Crowned Clown, an older historical
