Weekend Watch Off. It is FriYAY!

What are we watching this weekend? I’m going to tuck into Pachinko and catch up. I also want to watch The Novelist which is a m/m J-Drama short. Neither are happy so I guess my next few days are emotional pain before Business Proposal can heal me.

Antonina yes! we will have to start our own private dialogue! I too am a super fan. Can’t wait to watch this weeks episode with Yoon Jung Hoons wife as a guest❤️

Deb

Deb I am a super-devoted, intense 2 Days 1 Night fan if you ever need to dish about it with someone!

Antonina (Tonya)

I feel this in my soul. Let's go, business proposal!

Alice

I’m afraid to finish 25-21 since it looks like no HEA…

Omg has anyone watched Uncle??? 6 episodes in SO SO SO GOOD👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Deb

Oh cool on the podcast Rec, sounds great! Worth watching 39 now, to see if it’s your kinda thing. I dropped it cos it wasn’t my kinda thing :)

Amy here. HALP! I'm caught up on Pachinko and Business Proposal! This is my first time being ahead on dramas as they are dropping, and I am NOT patient. LOL. How am I supposed to wait?

I’ve just come off a binge of River where the Moon Rises because I just love Na Im Woo who is a new cast member on 2Days1 Night ( a variety show that makes me laugh so much my husband is worried about me)RWMR was just ok. Plugging through 39 ( and every video of the BinJin wedding😍) because I love Son Ye Jin and hoping it gets better. And just started Uncle with Oh Sung Se and am absolutely hooked. Have a great weekend everyone!

So finally a March release is showing up on Netflix - the first 2 episodes of 39 only! Given that I’ve waited sooo long I think I may prefer to wait longer and start watching when it is all out. So should I binge watch or do the 2 episodes a week that Netflix is gifting me? Also wanted to mention another podcast (sharp intake of breath!!) called Korea Deconstructed. It is absolutely NOT a rival to the noona’s delight but instead picks a contemporary subject each week and with the aid of a Korean invitee discusses it in some depth - the host is extremely knowledgeable and makes some subjects that could be rather turgid extremely accessible. There are no laughs but he does in a couple of broadcasts touch on the Hallyu wave and K Pop.

Today I ventured out to see a movie in a theater for the first time in more than 2 years! Reviews for The Lost City were pretty good and the idea of a romance writer on a real life (cough cough) adventure with her cover model just sounded like so much fun – and it was a hoot! Tonight I’m watching the last three episodes of Bridgerton. It feels weird to be watching Western/Hollywood romances after the past year of pretty much nothing but Kdramas; I’m enjoying them, but they're not nearly as emotionally satisfying. Then I’ll head back to kdramaland with 25 21, Forecasting, and (Monday) Business Proposal.

Kathi

Me too on 25-21 😱

Kate

25-21, Forecasting and You Are My Spring 😀

After a KDrama break to watch Bridgerton S2 - I had issues but I will never not love this production and escaping to fantasy Regency London. I’m finishing Vincenzo - 20 episodes has been a long build up to end game but I’ve enjoyed it, though not loved it, but would still recommend as a watch! Then onto the final episodes of 25/21 - fingers crossed they stick the landing. It’s not the drama I expected but I have really enjoyed it

Sarah @afternoonaasks

I’m going to watch E1 of the new grim reaper series, Tomorrow. (Worst title ever.) I’m reading the webtoon version of A Business Proposal, and trying to finish it before the show ends next week. The show has lost me a bit from E8 on, and I’m hoping they rally and stick a strong landing, because E1-7 were some of my favorite kdrama-ing ever.
