Friday Fun Day: Weekend Watch Share Out

February has us by the throat in K-dramalandia. So many choices it’s hard to keep up! What are you loving, what are you not, what has caught your eye.

The Pachinko trailer and the new Kang Ha Neul Pirate movie trailer have both really done a number on me in the past 24 hours -Lia

Watching live - 25-21, which I am really loving, I just luf Kim Tae-Ri soooo much. Although there are foreshadowing things I am preparing myself for.... Also watching live - 39 - which I'm feeling mixed about. Things are niggling me a little bit on this drama, so am reserving judgement. I want it to be better than it currently is Finished - Moonshine (was ok, I liked but didn't love, my Yoo Seung Ho love can only take me so far...) and Where Stars Land (I really liked but though it was a HEA they slightly screwed up the ending for me. But my Lee Je Hoon love got really, really, really bad with this drama, so will now have to bump Signal and Taxi Driver further up my list) Finding the live watching too bitty, I am still at heart a binge watcher, I just get FOMO!! I have just started Warm and Cozy, because I need a Yoo Yeon Sook romcom and this might be what I need....

We are available for Mr Sunshine therapy should you need it, Megan too, she's just finished...!

LOL know exactly what you mean. I was like, wow this is so old... Oh hello Gong Yoo in a towel....!!

I also watched Inwoo’s drama Her Bucket List. He’s a talented guy! Not a great drama but I bet more will be coming his way

Deb

I was only able to listen to the first half of Wednesday’s podcast because I’m still working my way through Reply 1988 and I didn’t want any spoilers. I’m down to the final four episodes! I’m really enjoying it but the episodes are soooooo looooong and I’m falling behind on watching anything else. I’m also reading Pachinko. I listened to the audiobook, but then I picked up a used paperback copy and have been making notes in the margins – this is using a different portion of my brain and I’m having fun with it!

Kathi

Im loving Inwoo too! Laughed so much with his entrance onto the show

Deb

I’m a nurse so the topic of ED and the ensuing crazy psych/ physical treatment in YRMU was pretty well done and the ML was new to me and I loved him

Deb

I liked You Raise Me Up at the beginning, but it really went off the rails.

Lauren Cohen

I’ll be in a plane for 5 hours on Weds and planning on a rewatch of some CLOY and starting 39. So in the meantime I found You Raise Me Up. An 8 episode drama about ED that is being handled with sensitivity and humor and it is a happy find to tide me over. And always a few episodes of 2days 1 night to really make me laugh. Even in a snowstorm that I know I’ll have to shovel my way out of

Deb

I’m live watching 39, 25/21 and Weather and Sharpshooter (yikes, I know!) And enjoying them all, particularly 25/21. I am also a few episodes into Mr. Sunshine and I LOVE it and it’s a total change of pace from the others. I agree about the ML in 39 - he’s DREAMY!

Lorna

I decided to watch Coffee Prince and was having real issues with the quality, just because it's so old. But then Gong Yoo was working in a tank top and suddenly my issues disappeared...

Elizabeth

Watching the new episodes of 25/21 and Forecasting + maybe another drama—I’m in between Where The Weather is Fine and A Girl and Three Sweethearts (Japanese drama) so we will see!

Kate

I'm almost done with Dali and Cocky Prince and its delightful, episode 14 made me laugh more in 10 minutes than I had in weeks. And I'll watch Love and Weather when there are 2 new episodes to stack. I want to watch All of Us Are Dead but I'm not in a zombie mindset right now.
