Yeehaw! Time to Gallop Into the Weekend! What are You Watching?

Weekend roundup!! Sound off...what shows are folks currently watching or planning to start?

I'm personally on a short show embargo until 2/1 because I have to finish a book. This is sad but I'm making the best of it by watching Run BTS before bed (it's a tough gig but someone has to do it). I also discovered BTS ASMR and am not sad about this new sleep aid.

But starting 2/1 I am READDDDDDYYYYYY. I have so many things I'm chomping at the bit to watch from My Mister and The Red Sleeve to Strong Woman to Our Beloved Summer. Can't wait to get it all.

So funny cos in the olden days, channelling Reply 1997 we could have recorded this on VHS and then shared the VHS. Whereas now with all this tech it’s even harder to do 😁

I too want to watch Moonlovers and cannot find a reliable option Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Deb

The Noonas have finished and done a pod on Mad for Each Other which is on my upcoming list and this is short. Go Back Couple/Couple on the Backtrack is also shorter. Another one which i enjoyed is My Holo Love.

Currently watching Its Okay to Not Be Okay and thoroughly enjoying it! Trying to find some shorter dramas to try but haven’t had a ton of success yet though.

Kate

I started Bulgasal but I’m still trying to finish Tale of The Nine Tailed and Her Private Life

Tal A

Oh brilliant idea to get the audio book! Thank you! (Why did I not think of that!!?)

Elizabeth-Claire

I may have gone a bit overboard this past week: I finished Our Beloved Summer (loved it), Suspicious Partner (loved most of it), and Singles Inferno (not great but very interesting – I look forward to discussions) plus I started watching Because this is my First Life based on the recommendation from a Weekend Roundup earlier this month. Right now the weather is beautiful where I live, so I plan to venture out and away from my screens this weekend, but I downloaded the audiobook for Pachinko so I can listen to that while I soak up some sun.

Kathi

Wanted something shorter to binge so I started Let Me Be Your Knight. Cute low angst so far. Can’t wait to finish Snowdrop this weekend!

Erin Miseyko

I just finished Hospital Playlist 2 and enjoyed it but they must have cast every working actor in Korea to film a scene (soooo many surgeries in 2). I’m starting My Fated Boy (not sure about it yet) and halfway through Happiness (ML is almost unrecognizable from Strong Woman).

Lorna

Lmao yes so much shouting.

Megan Erickson

I just finished Extra-Ordinary You (meh, but the mean fiancé was exceptionally good. I liked him better than the ML) and Kiss Goblin. Now I'm watching Mad For Each Other on y'all's recommendation but I might have to take zombie breaks to watch All of Us Are Dead.

Elizabeth

I’m six eps into Reply 1988… I like the 5 friends, but there is just SO MUCH SHOUTING🗣. And goat noises! 😑

Heather Linebarger

I started All Of Us Are Dead and I’m all in with a bag of chips. This is so satisfying to my zombie loving heart! (There was some school bullying in the first episode that turned my stomach. Waiting for the bullies to get munched by zombies lol) -Megan

Megan Erickson

Agree with everything you said.

Lauren Cohen

Btw Lia I’m one of those who found Strong Woman a bit hit and miss. There should be TW for homophobia and domestic violence and cross-dressing phobia if there’s a word for that, some of the humour is just so puerile, i fast forwarded chunks of this weird gang/monk side plot, the serial killer is unexpectedly DARK but are Park/Park the cutest couple in Kdrama? Probs yes. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it though!!!
