Hometown Cha Cha Cha is ending today! If you are going into dimple withdraw you are not alone. Help is here :)

However Megan and I haven’t seen the end yet (Amy is still catching up). We are both watching the final 2 tonight and then can jump in to help with the therapy.

Feel free to take your feels into the spoiler section.

I was cracking up. Them giggling and laughing and moaning over it. lol. (Megan)

So divorced couple was huge stand out for me—which was unexpected as I was meh on this subplot for first half of drama. By the end it was huge heart warmer for me. My read on the trauma was that Chief Hong was essentially meant to be this genuine person in a fairly soulless industry. And when the security guard went south, his family reacted in anger as part of the grieving process (as did his Hyung’s spouse). And if Chief Hong had a decent family support network to fall back on then he could have been treated with compassion and empathy. He did not and fell back on his toxic mindset that everyone he cares about is doomed to die. Granny did save his life by reaching out to make a connection—which was great justification why he would move heaven and earth for her—but damage was sort of done at that point in terms of PTSD. Poor baby—thank god he got a HEA and will have a dimpled Dentist and 2 children in his future. (Lia)

I really loved this, Kim Seon Ho in a plaid I would mainline everyday. I was really looking forward to the pairing of Shin Min A and Kim Seon Ho and it did not disappoint. The divorced couples storyline was a surprise standout for me. I think the reason for the divorce was pretty easy to guess but the episode that he figures it all out was pretty devastating. I thought the secondary couples were super cute. My only quibble was the reveal of what happened 3 years ago. I understand that he would feel guilty about his friend dying in the accident BUT the security guard piece was a bit to much. I guess I can’t understand this troupe in KDrama where the characters have bear the guilty and responsibilities for everyone else’s action. I mean Chief Hong did not tell him to get a loan, put his house up for collateral and invest in some sketchy ass fund but when it goes bust here take all my money in the world because your husband tried to commit suicide and is now in coma/can’t walk/has paralysis??? This general rant could go on and on. Look forward to hearing your thoughts ❤️

I laughed so hard at the Dominos product placement.

First the Dominos commercial brought me stupid amounts of giggling. The guys also looked like they were in on the ridiculous product placement and it warmed my heart. I want to do an Afternoona vacation to Gongjin and eat squid and surf and drink questionable coffee. Can we also get a Bo Ra spin off romance with Yi Jun set 20 years in future because I need this like omg (Lia)

We are 100% deep diving. Lia and Megan finished, and Amy is watching now. I think we are recording a deep dive on this in November? I have to check the schedule. Also I totally agree with you about pacing. I thought it was super well done. They packed a lot in the end, but then I think not drawing out all that angst was a good choice. I cried for like... a solid hour and a half but then we got enough super mushy couple stuff that filled my bucket right back up! I finished the drama with the biggest smile on my face. --Megan

Oh man those last two episodes had me needing tissue!! And I thought I was gonna get through this drama with no tears. I did laugh too, I love the scene where she’s testing out what she calls him. “Oppa” (really reminded me of the slightly creepy way the ex in fight for my way did it) But I’ve done the classic thing of finishing the drama, feeling bereft, so start watching Swoonies specials with the stars and now have a huge, like huge, crush in Kim Seon Ho and his dimples. I thought they paced this so well, and the finale didn’t disappoint at all and left me all warm and fuzzy. And as autumn property sets in here - sunny Gongjin took my ❤️ You guys are gonna deep dive this, right?

I simply loved their confession back in episode 10. I probably watched it 5 or 7 times. I cried when it finally happened. All roads lead to Gongjin❤!
