0.7b (unstable)

Hey, me again. Short one this time.

As it turned out, I fucked up a little bit and tortured newer players even more than I expected.

The early game grind was unnecessarily harsh, much worse than in 0.2-0.3: every day you keep Gloria locked, she gains an additional 3-4 Hate. That shouldn't work like that. Sorry newcomers and those who played the whole game from the start in the latest patches...

I am also using the cutting edge technology this time: Renpy itself just got a big update a few days ago, and though it's still unstable and buggy, I found nothing wrong with my game. In fact, it runs better. Do you remember when I had to split E+M stats into 2 buttons because the game crashed with too many videos playing on top of each other? I can open every Gloria and E+M window at once with this Renpy version and it's working fine. I'm not redoing the interface just now, so you won't be able to repeat this in-game. But it's an improvement!

I also did a second take on the difference between Original and Compressed video quality. Sometimes it's more obvious which is which. I think I won't hide the better one behind the paywall eternally, and give it out as I did before, with public releases.

People reported that the latest version returns positive virus-checks sometimes.

This is caused by the latest Renpy update (Jan.2021). For some reason, some antiviruses at Virustotal don't like the x32 version of the .exe file (up to 8 out of 70 positives).

As explained by other people, this is mostly because I have a custom icon for my game, and this problem is every-year occurrence for Renpy too.

If you're super-paranoid - use the 0.7a version. But there's no virus in 0.7b. I've checked my own PC with 6 different antiviruses in the past week: nothing.

Maybe by the time 0.8 is ready, Renpy will be added as trusted or change something within itself to stop triggering Virustotal scans. For now - it is what it is. 0.7b runs much more stable and has fixes for gameplay. Choose what you feel comfortable with.
