0.7 release dates, patch-notes and stuff

The patch is ready, all I need to do is: add a main-menu animation, do final preps, pack it, and upload.

This is gonna be an unnecessary wall of text again, in my style...

0. Release dates for different tiers are gonna be something like this:

$10 tier - most likely tomorrow (26-27 Dec.)

$5 tier - somewhere around 5 Jan.

Public - mid-January

Slightly bigger gaps between tiers this time (not 7-days as advertised), but this will only happen once a year (hopefully) due to all this New Year stuff: I can't properly work on the game during holidays, nothing will be added between $10 and public releases (only critical fixes).

1. Content and comments:

This is gonna be a smaller patch - slightly over a hundred animations and a dozen of pictures. A shorter development cycle plus the end of the year is always a pretty busy time, but the start of January is even worse, with all the "friends and family" business and such. Hope it won't be too disappointing...

Patch-notes:

• animations count from  ~1360 - ~1470
• level 3 masochism buff finally in place
• new NPC (Gloria's butt will suffer) (+camera)
• new place for her to spend the evening (+camera)
• added a few smaller events for her office progress with male colleagues
• new "call her to the office" animations for Gloria depending on various factors
• various fixes to wrong stat calculations (the worst was the stacking butt-plug penalty)
• watersport (pee-drinking) content (turn off the dedicated buff to never see any)

The last point needs a little bit of explanation.

The buff was already in the game, and if you played the version 0.6b you already have it enabled (just can't see the icon). I've fixed this and you don't have to start a new game: you should see a little dialogue when you load the previous save and it will appear in the panel, that's all.

Don't forget to turn the buff off if you don't want to see any of this content!

Also, keep in mind that starting from 0.7 I won't be able to provide a smooth experience for older players: if you start with Gloria already lewd enough - all events will work correctly, but they may fire one after another and ruin the immersion. Earlier stages of some event might not make sense when she's already at high stats and been through some nasty stuff.

In this patch, you will have to give her a task several times, earn those Big Goal Stars. Read the Diary if you are stuck.

2. The "guide" for $10-tier is discontinued:

Initially, it was there for people who were stuck in the game. Right now everything you need to know should be in the Diary. If you're still stuck - write to me and I'll think about adding\expanding some of the tips.

The $10-tier guide might come back once I finalize the bigger portion of the game, to include various hidden mechanics. No promises. I might add these extra tips to the game itself instead: not a fan of pay-walled necessary content.

The only real use for the guide right now is finding out a way to unlock all achievements. I'll update the tier reward description.

3. New distributive info:

As you may have noticed (lol), the game is getting pretty big now, and it's getting harder to upload-download it. I've tested the new compressor and the results are much more positive!

Right now you will have two versions:

- with original files - around 6 GB

- with compressed files (with almost no quality loss) - around 1.3 GB

If you have no problems downloading a bigger one - good for you, but if you have - you lose almost nothing going for a smaller one. Maybe I'll do a side-by-side comparison video one day, but right now it takes a serious effort to find differences between them by just playing normally.

Go for a smaller one. Likely I'll make it the main version soon and distribute the "original" quality as a tier-reward or something, maybe instead of the guide...

4. Possible technical issues and solutions:

First of all, thanks to an increasingly bigger audience, I have more feedback and possibilities to help with the game performance.

Number one is: check if the game is running on your video-card (laptops can choose the integrated one). Even if your game wasn't crashing before, this will boost the performance of RenPy games. Especially animations-heavy like mine.

Number two: I've decreased the amount of steps you can "go back" from 100 to 50 (rewinding dialogues). This hopefully will solve some lag for when RenPy autosaves your game. Also, it's advised NOT to do this in the documentation. I haven't had any issues while testing this, but if you do - simply delete the "crash_fix.rpyc"  from your game folder and try again.
