The health update is I’m near the end of the 3-month Botox limbo, where it simply didn’t/couldn’t do anything to improve me because so much bad stuff happened to my body that the damage was too great, and it got ugly. It’s been harder and harder for PT’s trigger point therapy to keep up, and skipped areas eventually blew up to the point where I spent weeks unable to eat properly without lots of planning and help. So I’m shut down until we see what the new injections do to help. The evaluation window opens mid-October, when injection bruising is done and I’ll know if I improved enough or if it’ll be 3 more months.
The only time I leave my shutdown cocoon is sometimes I visit the latest foster kitty on my home from PT.
Meet Sunkist, the fizzy (purrball) orange kitty with a popped top (tipped ear).

The good news this should be an easier fostering - in that she’s also got a shy streak, but she’s a cuddler and purrs at the first pet. At an adoption event, with nowhere to hide, all you’ll get is the kitty who can’t stop purring in your arms!

If anyone is available to TAKE her to the adoption event, that is! I’m too sick, and my mother has gotten wrapped into surprise grandkid plans for multiple weekends. I mean, she was ahead of the curve, and could use more fostering to fully get her out of the “I’m happy to cuddle, but I want to be partially hidden so I have an escape route” deal (she’ll quickly walk to the edge of her hiding spot to get petted again, and is growing bolder every day), so she’ll surely get adopted after a normal foster time. I just feel sad I was unable to help out more.
