1.9-Preview1
Added 2025-12-14 03:51:51 +0000 UTCIt is time for the first preview release of version 1.9. The main change in this release is a rework of how Lateral Force is calculated for a more raw/direct feel. Let me know what you think of it!
A note about the AC FFB gain slider and clipping
Based on my testing, the FFB/clipping meter in AC cannot be relied upon when using this script, as it appears calibrated specifically for the default FFB system. Even if I bypass the AC FFB gain slider entirely within the script, increasing the slider still produces additional “clipping” on the meter—despite the slider itself being disabled. Therefore, do not use the meter as a reference for adjusting FFB strength, since the clipping it reports will not be accurate.
Main Force Feedback
Reworked Lateral Force calculation
(Changed from slip‑based approximation to using raw tire lateral force directly; provides a more direct feel with improved feedback near the wheel center)Increased internal Lateral Force multiplier (~17.86%)
Reduced internal Self-Aligning Torque multiplier (~16.67%)
New "Main FFB multiplier" setting
(Controls the internal intensity multiplier for the main FFB effects. Effectively the same as adjusting the AC gain slider, but can be used to balance the strength of this script's FFB against the original AC FFB for testing.)
Haptic Effects
Haptic effect intensity no longer scales with AC’s main FFB gain slider
New "Overall haptic gain" setting
(Controls the intensity of all haptic effects simultaneously, making it easier to balance them with the main FFB effects)Reduced internal ABS effect multiplier (~7.14%)
Comments
Amazing! Btw, is there anything else we can use to see if ffb is clipping if the AC meter is not accurate?
