Released: 1.5-Preview2
Added 2025-06-06 04:04:43 +0000 UTCThanks to everyone who’s recently joined — I really appreciate the support!
1.5-Preview2 is attached below. I expect this to be the final update before the public release, after which we’ll shift to the first preview release of version 1.6.
As mentioned previously, this update focuses on refining and building upon the changes introduced in 1.5. One highlight is the new “Spring” slider, which lets you directly control the intensity of the Self-Aligning Torque effect.
Don’t like the effect? No problem — just set the slider to 0.
Self-Aligning Torque
Added "Spring" slider to adjust effect strength
Increased base strength (~8%)
Strength now scales more realistically in FWD cars
Reduced deadzone for improved on-center feel (2.5% → 1%)
Oversteer (Physics)
Increased contrast between grip and no-grip states
Haptics
Oversteer: Reduced minimum strength for smoother progression
Oversteer: Slightly reduced base intensity
Understeer: Slightly increased base intensity
Your feedback is essential to steer this project in the right direction.
If you run into an issue or have a feature request — I’d love to hear it!
Comments
Hey there. This may change if I ever get the sense that my preferences are way off compared to the majority, but right now I am actually tuning the default settings of everything to the way I like to run the script on my setup.
