Komi (06.04.24)

Hi! It’s been way too long since my last post, so I must type lots now.

  So things have been kind of okay, in general I think I’m over thinking things less but at the same time I’m just less myself so I’ve been trying to keep my brain busy with distractions, watching and playing things when I’m not working on artwork. A week and a half ago I put way too many hours into Tekken 8 after getting it, it’s my first tekken and I’m not used to playing fighters but I had a strong urge to learn it quickly for some reason, it was fun, I was playing Lili by the way. I’ve also started watching a bit of Haganai and Bakemonogatari, I’ve been enjoying them, maybe Sena’s meat buns soon by me? Oh and I’ve been revisiting corpse party, specifically the first and trying blood drive again, blood drive is an interesting one so I’ll start a new paragraph.

   So CoPa Blood Drive isn’t great when it comes to a few things, but revisiting it years later, having more experience with 2D art and a tiny bit of 3D, I’m appreciating it as an art way more now. It’s such a simple looking game that’s so effective with its lighting and sound design, this goes for the first remake as well but BD with its 3D geometry and flash light urged me to once again think about solo game devving. This time I’m not completely unfamiliar to Blender so now the other piece of the puzzle was to start learning coding (Python specifically) so I started that 2 days ago. I’d like to eventually move onto the language Godot uses and then begin to learn the game engine Godot itself. I’d love to be able to use both 2D and 3D for something eventually so that’s where my time is going these past few days, not too much tekken I swear! Oh right I have some character sketches I made to practice character designing but I’ll post those another time.

Anyway how are you guys doing? I hope okay, maybe this artwork of Komi will help?
