I'm quitting Patreon (for now)

Hey everyone! As I'm sure you've noticed, there hasn't been any rewards for the past two months.
In October, I was promoted to Lead 2D Character Artist at Vela - something I'm extremely excited about and grateful for. With this change I now have a lot more responsibilities, and I've been finding it more and more difficult to keep up with the demands of running a Patreon on the side.
This is nothing new, but with the past couple of months I've really felt that I needed to make a change. I want to be the best leader and artist I possibly can be at work, and for me to do that I simply don't have the energy to run the Patreon at the quality level I think you all deserve, or a quality level I myself would be happy with.

So instead of half-assing two things and burning out, I've decided to put Patreon on an indefinite hiatus and focus all my energy on work and more free-form personal art/projects. I'll try to make tutorials etc. whenever I feel like I have something new to say, but these will be going up on youtube or gumroad instead, and any process images will be shared publicly instead of behind a paywall :) If you just joined the Patreon a few months ago, I'm sorry to disappoint. What about Discord?
I know The Greenhouse has become a place a lot of people love, which is really amazing. For that reason, I will not be shutting down the server. For now, I'll be making no changes to the server and how it is run. It'll still be hooked up to Patreon so not just anyone can easily join and troll, but it'll be free since I will obviously no longer be charging anyone through it. I'll assess how this is working in a few months and, if necessary, make any changes to the structure then.

Finally, thank you for 3 amazing years <3 I know rewards have always been sporadic - another symptom of doing this on the side of a full time job - but I hope they helped you at some point! I've really enjoyed running the Patreon, and if I ever go freelance again I will be back. Until then, I'll see you on social media :)
