But thing is that first of there’s not many ninjas who specialize in Taijutsu specifically in the first place + the technique is a prohibited technique so it’s not teached openly. And lastly it’s only being passed down im not gonna say who cause spoiler but somebody passed it down to Might Guy then Might Guy passed it to lee.

And anyone can train to open the gates, but only Guy, another Jonin we know, and Lee (and potentially the 3rd Hokage who’s known for mastering every justu in the leaf) had the talent to actually do it. It’s not blocked by bloodlines, just effort.

Even tho lee can only open 5, him doing it at such a young age proves he’s really a genius and hard work can pay off to a certain extent. He really started off with no type of skill other than straight dedication. Kakashi even had to take off his mask to look at Lee with his sharingan 😂. There was nobody imo who could’ve beat lee other than gaara and even then he should’ve still won 🤷♂️ I also think it was kinda stupid how gaara just got up after the fight like nothing happened. I think we should’ve seen him more fucked up than what was shown.

Not even Neji who they mention is a Taijutsu (and Ninjutsu) genius in his own right was able to learn it, but Lee was. Kakashi even mentions during the fight when Lee opened the third or fourth gate how no ordanairy person can just learn this jutsu, it takes a genius - this is when he starts openly questioning if Lee isn't just a "genius of effort" like Guy said, but if he's not a true genius in his own right after all. The downside is it's a double-edged sword.
