2025-03-26 10:30:37 +0000 UTCOn the topic of berserk, the 1997 anime is quite beloved, has an amazing art style, a great dub, and is only 25 or so episodes I believe. The modern remakes get a lot of shit because of the weird 3D animation style but the original 1997 berserk anime got me to read manga from being a non believer. It's also uploaded in it's entirety on youtube last I checked, as well as a version where the actual voice actors leave in bloopers. Would honestly love to see you guys react to it at some point

It is enjoyable and has a lot of hype moments, but if you step back and give it a second look, that is all it has, which disappointed me quite a bit. That is why I rate it as a pretty average anime.

I love it more than berserk simply because vagabond is more grounded to reality, the pursuit of life, purpose, and self worth,and cool ass samurai fights, it’s such a psychological manga that changed my life and how you can interpret the meaning behind everything and apply it to life, i know you love that stuff Ron so i hope you get to read it soon, I have the entire vizbig collection that almost makes a mural and art piece, the art style is unlike no other in detail, also the creator made the manga “slam dunk “ and increased the entire love for basketball in Japan back in the 90s just how haikyu increased people playing volleyball in the 2010-2020s
