March Update

   

    Hello, this is Mero for this month's update. I officially start development on the next project. I still haven’t finished the prototype but our programmer kumo worked really hard on the new battle system so I wanted to show a little bit of the progress so far.

Eromotion in progress


   

 Animating in spine is very useful, you can fix a lot of mistakes very easily.
However it requires a lot more setup than just simply drawing it. I will practice facial animation next!

Gameplay System (prototype)

This game will be 2d action with the emphasis on casting a spell, you have to combine 4 different runes in order to execute action and the more runes you combine the stronger the spell becomes.

Casting

  You cast the spell by entering cast mode using arrow/movement input to initiate the spell casting motion.

    Each spell will have a specific cooldown before it can be used again, the stronger the spell the longer the cooldown



   Each spell will cost mana, you can fill up your mana by doing a basic attack.


Dash

     You can dash to dodge most things in this game however you are limited to 3 dashes at a time, you can’t be too mobile because you are a mage after all.


Barrier

   You can also use a barrier in this game however it will only block 80% of the damage and it will also deplete your mana.

Normal attack

Basic 3 hit combo normal attack to fill the mana gauge.

What do you think? I think it still looks a bit awkward without the additional vfx but I will be working on it next month.

Map and System

First Map

The first map will be a normal forest map, here is the first version of how it will look like.


2 New enemies
  They will also be present on the first map.



X-ray view
 I’m trying out the x-ray view, however the rigging is deceptively complex. I’m still unsatisfied with the result so I will redo it again from scratch.

Bug reports
   

I’ve got some of the reports about the white flashing on the screen during ero motion and in some of the areas however when both me and kumo play test through the whole game we couldn’t find or reproduce any said bugs at all which confused us a lot. 

If you can please record the video and send it to our direct message or in our official discord. And it would be great if you can tell us how to reproduce the bugs. Thank you.

sorry for a really late reply, this project is still unnamed and we are currently in a prototype phase right now. I will let everyone know when the first demo is ready
