Moral Compass (Advanced Unlettered Preview) + Minor life update

As I've said a few times before, 2022 should see the return of some of some familiar faces. While Semper Fidelis has been somewhat hibernating and I didn't get to publish any new finished stories for quite a while, I spent the past year chipping away at it until a solid foundation of a book with a lot of groundwork already done was where I was at.

This particular segment is part of a set called First Principles. Instead of delving into the main story right away, I will share some backstories on certain members of the team. The page shared above takes us to late 2005, nine years before the start of the main story. This part is still on schedule for early this year, as most of the principal work on it is done.

The main comic will be done in full color, as per usual, and will follow the backstory shorts with the book 1 prologue, Mortis Causa.

That is not the only update I owe you all, however.

Earlier this month, I was informed that the surgery I had been waiting for over 2 years is not only due, but I have 12 days to prepare for it. So here I am, about to leave for the hospital in the morning, trying not to jump out of my skin. There's quite a lot of pain ahead, but after that, hopefully, I will be free of pains that have plagued me for almost a decade and turned me into a perpetually annoyed hermit.

Until I am fit to hold a pen again, Patreon will be on pause. 

This ideally won't breach far into February. I will keep you all posted on my work capacity after I return from the hospital. I can't promise I will ease on the annoyed hermit part though, that's probably grown in by this point.
