Added 2022-08-04 01:45:13 +0000 UTCThe simulator data and website had issues from approximately July 15th through the 24th. These have been resolved and things should be back to functioning properly as of the 24th of July. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Some were concerned this meant this project was abandoned, but that is not the case.
In addition, I have made some changes on the data server side to address crashes that were happening when the simulator attempted to display a warning crawl product that contained unexpected ascii control codes embedded within them. Certain NWS offices have occasionally been putting these ascii control codes in. The proper fix will need to wait until the next simulator client release. For now, I have added more functionality to the server which will remove these offending characters from the warning products before the simulator receives them, so this should stop the crashes.
I have refunded all monthly Patreon charges that erroneously went through on August 1st. I thought I had set it to be paused like usual, but it seems it didn't work. I apologize for this, as you know, I have taken the policy of pausing all recurring pledges until such a time when I am able to actively work on the simulator again for the next update. I feel that is only fair. Please feel free to contact me on here if you have any concerns about this.
