Doppelganger and Timebomb (Monarch 14)

A one-time intelligence analyst for Israeli special forces, Avi Nesher wrote and directed a pair of full-blown Monarch films in the early 1990s. The first, Timebomb (1991), is an overt MKUltra film, and it features an explicit depiction of the trauma-induced creation of a Delta super assassin alter. Doppelganger (1993), yet another Donald Borchers-produced Monarch erotic thriller covered in this series, depicts the creation of a beta sex kitten alter, culminating in a demonic sex magic “twin” ritual. A film absolutely saturated with Monarch tropes, Doppelganger stars Monarch actress extraordinaire Drew Barrymore, in a role likely modeled on her own dysfunctional adolescence as a member of Hollywood royalty. Brett breaks down the Monarch themes in both films, offering further reflections on the origins and purpose of Monarch media. He also picks up on a strange link between these two films, which in turn relates directly to Richie’s Albertini’s revelations concerning Mossad’s Los Angeles operations during this exact period of time.

Biehn's "official background" (i.e. the Wikipedia/IMDB accounts) reeks of sheep-dipping to me. It's ultra-bland and gives very little detail about anything. He seems to have moved around quite a bit growing up which one often sees with assets and would fit in with some sort of military-intelligence background. Interesting that he spent time in Nebraska which has seen plenty of high dubiousness! The only other detail they cough up is Biehn's membership of a fraternity which looks like a bunch of military freemasons. In addition to his well-known relationship with James Cameron, Biehn has made two films with the mega-sus William Friedkin ('Rampage' and 'Jade' - the former looks potential PTK material although I need to watch it again). Biehn has been in six films with Bill Paxton which suggests they were fraternal brothers. One of Biehn's children is named Dashiell which is presumably after Dashiell Hammett - there's plenty suspicous about him (look at where he's buried for starters!). The way Biehn's career stalled suggests he perhaps wouldn't sign the kind of deals that lead to mega-stardom. Kudos to him if that was the case - although lack of the necessary bloodline can't be ruled out either. Other Avi Nesher films I've seen include 'Dizengoff 99' which features a threeway relationship and 'Ritual' which is about voodoo. I've not seen it but his film 'The Minion' appears to be about the Knights Templars. At least two of his films feature Silicon Valley prominently in the plot - one of them is about a tech overlord who wants to digitise himself. He's used 'Patrick Highsmith' as a pseudonym - there's much questionable about Patricia Highsmith who this is referencing.
