New Patreon fees... [edit: not anymore!]

I'm sure by now you've gotten the email from Patreon about the new fees they're applying to all individual pledges. The change means that every pledge you make (including the one for my Patreon page right here!) gets increased by 2.09%, plus a $0.35 flat fee. So for instance, to make a $1 pledge, it costs you about $1.38 (edit: on top of even more taxes that some people are paying), and then Patreon gives me a flat 95% of the actual pledge, $0.95.
As an example of how this changes things: in a previous month where it said "$223.00 processed" on my dashboard, I could only receive $203 of that, and the rest went to paying fees for Patreon. With the new model, I should instead be seeing $212 of that same amount, which I'm happy about... though, I do understand that your support costing you more isn't an unimportant change.
That all comes into effect on December 18. I just wanted to mention it here so that you all know I'm aware of it, and also thankful for your support despite the changes. I hope you'll continue to stick around, not only here but on other creators' pages to support them as well. Thanks!
