The episode was... Okay, the whole Trump shtick is just so tired, like every joke under the sun has been done about him, I want South Park to move on, Trump sucks, but so do the constant barrage of jokes about him, it was funny at first, now it's a dead horse that everyone beats incessantly, I think I had a total of one chuckle the whole episode, and it was when Trump said he's sue Satan, I think that was it.
And I know that it's not necessarily just your normal TDS bullcrap, the whole episode is more about trying to get at Paramount more than anything.
Another thing I find incredibly lame was their use of AI for the end scene, just... Jesus Christ what happened to South Park man

1. "Cartman claims 'woke is dead' but I live in NC, where woke is active" Since Covid, politics has become more of a mainstream activity, and as a result there has been a growing number of young people picking a 'side' and speaking about it, more young female leftists and young male conservatives if statistics are anything to go by these days. The R-slur has become extremely normalised and is now spoken by YouTubers/content creators more often, hence 'woke is dying'. Specifically, since Trump has become president again he's tightened borders, come after DEI, fired leftist commentators from their free-speech platforms among many other woke-killing initiatives. So yes, woke is dead, whether it's happening outside your door, we're talking about the entire world here, not just what you, 'Naxtrim' have experienced--you're not the main character, buddy, sorry to break it to you. 2. "Cartman also claims that "hating jews" is a sign that woke is dead, but to my understanding, being antisemitic is a woke concept" You've been living under a rock, I take it? Leftists all over the world are currently being sued and accused of perpetuating antisemitism against jews/Israelis. A leftist man was recently arrested for murdering two Israelis. If you're content-brain oriented, maybe looking into the Hasan Piker/Ethan Klein debate would help you understand why it's now no longer considered 'woke' to be against antisemitism--your confusion on this point proves that you have no idea what the current Palestine war is about or how it's affected politics. 3. "I disagree with Devin's opinion on the idea that it feels like classic South Park." In my opinion, that's because you're too terminally online and triggered over political matters to be able to have fun anymore. I bet when you originally watched South Park, you barely understood anything about politics and it wasn't a part of your every day life. Shut your devices off, get outside more and stop taking cartoons so seriously, I promise you'll be better off for it and you'll be able to just sit back and enjoy yourself again. Take care!

The connection between Paramount/CBS and Donald Trump is a long, convoluted series of events, but this is my understanding of it.
Trump sues CBS/Paramount
Trump claims a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris was unfairly edited to hurt him.
He demands $20 billion in damages.
Paramount settles the lawsuit
Trump receives $16 million in July 2025.
No apology, no admission of wrongdoing.
Paramount wants to merge with Skydance but needs FCC approval
FCC steps in with demands
Requires CBS to drop DEI programs and add a media bias ombudsman.
Critics say this is political pressure.
Colbert’s Late Show is cancelled
Seen as a move to appease regulators or Trump supporters.
CBS claims it's a financial decision. The show was losing 40 million dollars a year due to ad revenue drops.
Overall, I really didn't like this episode since I disagreed with their view of how things really are. Cartman claims "woke is dead," but I live in Northern California, where "woke" is active. Cartman also claims that "hating jews" is a sign that woke is dead, but to my understanding, being antisemitic is a woke concept. There are far more "woke" people praising Palestine than Israel, so I didn't agree with this approach to Cartman's plight, but even a meh episode can be saved by a W reaction.
I disagree with Devin's opinion on the idea that it feels like classic South Park. Classic to me feels like the 4 kids getting into some trouble while the adults blow something out of proportion. In this episode, every character was on the same page except Trump. While I like the idea that he is just Saddam 2.0, I doubt he cares what Trey/Matt do with their show. In the past, there have been 4 episodes making fun of Bush Jr, 2 slightly poking fun at Obama, and now 16 discussing Trump/Garrison Trump/Canadian Trump. If he didn't care before, he won't now. To me, this feels like Trey/Matt have given up, and I feel like Cartman trying to kill himself is evidence of that.
