Possible Changes?
Added 2023-03-18 00:48:32 +0000 UTCHey, y'all. I figured I'd let y'all know what's going on!
As I'm sure you've noticed, fighting game artwork will be returning as I want to focus on attracting more FG fans (especially since my original comic "Pretty Fierce" is made as a tribute to my love of fighting games). However, because of Bandit Revolver's weekly update and my full-time job, it's harder for me to spend time on these other projects.
So, I'm considering a change.
Some of you may remember the old updating schedule I had for Bandit Revolver, in which I updated several pages across a one-week period during the month (usually towards the end of the month). This was to enable me to have time work on it because I was working at a full-time job at the time. I spread the updates out when I cut myself down to part-time.
I'm considering returning to this scheduling. I know that means a longer wait between updates, and I apologise. I also know not everyone is interested in fighting game artwork. However, if I want to be able to grow, I can't be pigeonholed in a--and let's be honest--dead fandom.
Bandit Revolver will continue, but I feel it would be better to revert to the older updates. There would be advantages to this:
+Less weekly crunch means I can stress less on these pages.
+ More artwork will be available, including BR illustrations.
+ More time to create rewards.
+ More time to work on other projects, such as Pretty Fierce.
+ Less likely to burn out on BR!
I do enjoy working on BR, but I don't want be exclusive to it. That said, I'd like to know how y'all feel about this. I know months ago I said I was really liking the weekly updates. However, I didn't think I'd be inspired to create fighting game fan art, and Pretty Fierce is proving to be a serious labour of love, plus as I said I want to grow this platform and I have to reach out in other areas.
But again, I'd like to know how y'all would feel about this change!
