NFTs and Twitter

So for anyone who hasn't noticed:
I've been on a hiatus on IG for a couple of weeks now.
Obviously the main reason is the constant fear of being deleted and losing all the work and connections I've built up over the years. The other part has to do with whats been going on on Twitter and the NFT (bubble?) lately.
I always shied away from the platform, because it takes up a lot of time (and I spend way too much on my phone already) and there was always this conception of it being a very toxic place.
Maybe it has to do with the crazy thing that is called NFTs, but apart from the time issue (with is potentially way more straining than what I expected), I'm loving the new possibilites it holds to connect with other people and the technologies we are given to start conversations.

Now I admit, I'm still very sceptical when it comes to NFTs. They potentially offer some very due recognition for artists to be able to sustain themselves. But finding a place for yourself that you can reliably build upon seems rather random and vague.
One day you sell your first piece for more than you've ever earned from a single shot and the next you're in the same situation so many of us photographers have been in, where you spend hours engaging with people, post your art you've been working your ass of for and never really know (or can really stear the car in the right direction) when and if the right collector comes around to support you.

I'd like to pick your brains. Have you had any experience in this new world? Are you even interested in it? Or do you feel like it's all a bubble ready to burst in an instant, to go back to being reliant on social media companies you can't control whatsoever, who don't give a rat's ass about you and where models with good genetics rule the world, getting paid 20k for a selfie post with some beauty product?
