he's a high-ranking demon who got sick of being evil, and traveled to the mortal realm to try and figure out how mortals live and become a better person. since he's a demon who was never really meant to leave his plane he can only speak infernal, which Kills People, so he signs instead. his actual name is unpronounceable too, so his mortal friends just nicknamed him Flint! because he's made of rocks, and sets things on fire.
