sometime after they've all finally settled down, Marrok and Hati find Mason's skull by chance in the woods and put it above their fireplace. Jacob immediately gets attached to it, and when Mason regains consciousness (but not the ability to form his body again) Jacob makes him his Best Friend... which, unfortunately for Mason, involves Jacob dragging him around everywhere and chewing on his antlers.
