I'm cautiously optimistic about a 2nd season. I imagine it'll have good word of mouth before people have missed the first few episodes, This time people weren't really expecting it to interest adults, or people who are the wrong age to see the Goonies.

The moment the barrier was destroyed he realised that his plan WILL fail, but at the same time he is no longer h(a)unted by the pirates, he does not need to threaten children anymore (something I think he actually did not enjoy deep down), leaving piracy and his Jedi teacher in the past. This is a new day for him, a possibility to a fresh start. Really enjoyed Skeleton Crew and hope we will be getting another season with the Crew and/or Jod exploring the galaxy.
