I think maybe you misunderstood your ranking here a little bit. Yuon made you a Jedi Knight when you left Tython the first time, she just succumbed to the dark side plague in the middle. You were still made a Knight though. So becoming Barsen'thor then a Master wasn't quite as huge a leap as you thought!

Seing your face expression/reaction was priceless!!👍🏻😄 Regarding the senators: try to right-click on some of them when you have them on your ship, you might get the chance to have some secret conversations at some point with some of them (I can’t remember who or when exactly, worst case they’ll just give you random comments like C2-N2, your protocol droid).
