So now that you watched the first one which timeline are you going to continue? T1- Halloween 1,2,4,5,&6 T2-Halloween 1,2, H20 & resurrection T3 Halloween 1, Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills & Halloween Ends Halloween 3 is good standalone but it was made due to the original anthology movie idea that people didn’t like.
