Sokka has spent this whole time hanging out with some of the most talented benders / martial artists in the world, and he's able to keep his own. The problem is that causes his inferiority complex, and his self esteem just isn't there. We've seen so much growth in talent and power from the other characters, it's great to see it here with Sokka. All he needed was somebody of importance to believe in him and show him how incredible he is. Also ripped Iroh, can't pass that up.
