I miss Muchi so much

Kyle Katarn

Black K is such a beast, he really shines in Dr Aphra, and Vader, but his best appearance is in Star Wars #20 (2015) where he fights Kenobi and gets his scar

The Pykes seem to be based off of concept art developed for the live action pykes in Solo, which was totally inspired by Lucas' own design back in the day. It is definitely a big style change from how they looked in animation, and although I do really like the TCW version of Pykes I don't hate what they've done. I could get used to seeing them like this I think.

First of all I have to say that I absolutely love your reactions and your knowledge of all things Star Wars . It’s so awesome to watch someone react with the same level of passion as I have. (Lost my voice screaming when black krrrsantan appeared). But anyway I was also wondering why the pikes don’t look the same as they do in clone wars , and I saw this video earlier which explained that the live action pikes are based off of George Lucas’s own concept art for the very first pike, which obviously wasn’t used until solo/boba . Not sure if it’s true or not but if it is then it makes me feel better about how they look in live action because I was a little disappointed in the difference between animated and live action pikes

Fett's acting pretty ballsy in the 'present', even though he barely has a gang to back him up. He worked fine as a lone bounty hunter, but this crime lord business seems a bit beyond him (so far).

i’m glad i wasn’t the only one who thought of muchi. long live muchi. the ceremony in the end was incredibly heartwarming.

Rawrr.😉

Absolutely loved this episode! I’m very interested Black Krrsantan because I’ve never read the comic but your reaction to him has me gripped! The Hutts looked disgustingly great😅

I love how the flashbacks are applying to the present with Boba. Boba now has to find a creative solution with limited resources for the Twin Hutt situation like he did with the train and the Pike syndicate. And I can't get over him being accepted into the tribe completely and him creating his own gaffi stick. Such an epic final scene.

I read in a newspaper once that Nien Nunb speaks a Kenyan dialect and when the film was shown over in Kenya there was a loud cheer from the audience. I don’t know if that is true but I’d like to think that Kenyan children sat watching the movies had a good kick out of it.

Oh I wasn’t saying “you told us not to say it” I know Lucasfilm hasn’t come out and said officially “The name has been changed” they are just no longer referring to it as Slave1 because it has the ability to leave a sting in some people’s mouths, so whenever they market the ship it’s referred to as “Bob’s Starship” which isn’t a lie, it is his ship. I was only asking because I know on Twitter you’ve been very much anti Slave 1 since they announced the Lego toy was marketed without the name. Like with many things in Star Wars the name comes on the side of the toy box, I don’t think the name has ever been mentioned in any of the movies and moving forward I don’t expect it to either. I wasn’t trying to necessarily put human perceptions of gender onto Tusken’s nor was I strictly obeying to old legend rules. Quite frankly there is very little “Canon” lore on them which I said above (and that’s fine we don’t need to know all - Case and point Yoda) Which is why I think some people are confused whether it’s a woman or not, I certainly was last week. The only thing we had to go on until last week was what we saw in the movies, and while the legends material is great to draw from, Lucasfilm made it clear that a line was drawn. I think she’s badass and would love to see more of it. I made mention to you last week on Twitter that I was assuming it was a different tribe or maybe a different social caste - I’m just here for all of it and I can’t wait to see what else Lucasfilm has in store. Oh props to Steph for getting the extra’s who carried the twins to stagger every so often when they stood fast, it really added the weight to them. That little Gekko looking lizard - Baby Bossk 😂 a little hatchling Trandoshan (that’s not a serious comment)

It makes me so damn excited for whatever comes next. Rodriguez's quote about how "if anything this shower overdelivers" is slowly starting to make sense.

Kyle Katarn

That's so badass! I don't know about berbers before. I love how much George took inspiration from real cultures! I think it's what makes the galaxy feel so authentic in small ways.

Kyle Katarn

Black Krrrsantan is literally the hottest wookiee

Kyle Katarn

Yes!! I hope this means the other two Deadwood alums are returning for a Krayt Dragon hunt from Boba's perspective!! My suspicion is he's gonna get REAL close to reclaiming the armor but Mando will get there first

Kyle Katarn

Absolutely agree, it makes me feel weirdly emotional because I grew up seeing Maori culture and when I moved to USA it really wasn't anywhere. So I get this pang of homesickness from seeing Tem do his thing that really makes it personal for me.

Kyle Katarn

The expanding of Tusken lore is the coolest most unexpected byproduct of this new story. I'm loving it, and I really hope we get to see Mando and Cobb's Krayt Dragon hunt from Boba's perspective!!

Kyle Katarn

Haha I stand by my words! It's goofy, but awesome! Right up my alley. As for this Slave 1 nonsense, NO ONE has told you what you can or can not say. That's a made up narrative by a bunch of fragile folk. The REAL story is that Disney/Lucasfilm are simply not using the name anymore. It's not being changed, AND NO ONE IS FORBIDDEN FROM SAYING/USING IT. In my opinion, the way Boba reacted when he realized the Pykes were hauling slave mined spice says it all. He won't be using that name anymore. I think the Tusken character is female, it's important not to apply our limited exposure to Tuskens in the prequels/OT as absolute rules, clearly it varies from tribe to tribe. Personally I want to know so much more about Tuskens, and it looks like they even hinted at the Legends history of the planet being full of water long ago!

Kyle Katarn

i really like when they dive into the tuskens because George Lucas took inspiration from the nomadic berber tribes of north Africa when he made tatooine :D I'm from morocco and my great grandparents are berber and still speak their tribal languages. i think its super cool and apparently there's a character that has my name (tahiri) haha. i have tons of tribal berber tattoos on my hands and fingers

Sam Tahiri

Black Krrsantan, Camie and Fixer!? New understanding of Tusken culture. I am loving this stuff! Plus, Dean Cundey, cinematographer of Halloween, The Thing, Jurassic Park, etc. shot this episode? Perfection!

Christopher S. Brown

I absolutely love how you and Bendu react so passionately, it's so much fun to watch and I am so here for it! Also, here for the this amazing episode; bad ass Tuskens, a hot Wookie and lizard spice dreams and a Tusken HAKA! Can't wait for next week!

arliss123

The bartender at the station, was played by Allan Graf, another Deadwood alumni who is tending bar on Tatooine. W Earl Brown was tending bar in Mos Pelgo (he was Dan Dority in Deadwood)

Paul T Hewes

One of my favourite things is how much Maori influence is being put into this show and even The Mandalorian before it. It suits both the Mandalorian and Tusken cultures perfectly.

Reece Hart

Man loved seeing this, I totally got the last samurai vibes when Boba being embraced as one of the tuskens and shown their ways :) man and this is just one of tuskens village, super dope seeing their culture, I always saw tuskens as mindless raiders,

Kingston Lor

“A Goofy show” Kyle you ate those words quickly 😂 I know this is Patreon and those here are - well, all cool. But I thought we weren’t supposed to use the name Slave 1 anymore? I don’t know it seems that whenever I talk Boba’s ship whatever I say pisses off either side of the fans. This is by far the greatest live action episode to date in my opinion. Mando S2 Finale will always be my go to because of Luke, but if we remove Luke and have anyone else the finale wouldn’t be the same. This episode had everything I wanted… I felt like I was playing Shadows of the Empire for the first time (minus the Hoth level) we had cool droids, swoop bikes, shootouts and a fuck load of sand. An actress by the name Joanna Bennett played the Tusken Warrior who trains Boba. Now, I don’t know if the character is male or female - but the actor who is absolutely smashing this role is a woman. I think a lot of the confusion comes from other older Star Wars medium portraying the women of the clan in different headpieces. We’ve never seen confirmed females in live action nor have we ever had so much Tusken lore before so I think that’s why alot of people are just unsure. I love it and I want more from Steph Green x
