My water filtration recommendation is to watch eBay for a Multipure Model 500 (or just ball out and get their Aquaversa new) with what you need to install it under your sink. You can find sets for a couple hundred dollars, then the generic filters cost $30 and last a year or so depending on use and how shitty your water is.
