Hello again, all you wonderful people!
It feels like just last week I was writing up a progress report for all you. Funny how that works, isn't it?
Unsurprisingly, I fell a bit short of my goals. Finalizing the sex sequences took a bit longer than I expected. The blowjob sequence came out more complex than anticipated (though I don't think anyone will complain about the final product!), and I didn't realize until putting it all together that there were actually three transitions wrapped up into that: Handjob to blowjob, blowjob to handjob, and handjob to titfuck. So what I anticipated being "just" a blowjob animation actually became a blowjob animation and three transitions.
As such, I didn't actually get the sex sequence ready for dubbing until the 16th, rather than the 14th as originally planned. There were a few minor pacing issues in timing everything out, but I resolved them with minor adjustments to the screenplay, and the final timing comes in at just north of 200 seconds of sex sequence animation. This isn't including any narrative interims - only the sex animations themselves. So just over 3 minutes of BAS Liz working off that outfit. I don't think anyone will complain about that!
Beyond that, as you may have noticed in the attention-grabber for this post, I have blocked out the opening void sequence. The animation is very obviously not final, but it hits all of the major points. I started with blocking this sequence out for two reasons: firstly, it's the beginning of the video so it's a natural starting point; but secondly, it is also the most time-intensive to block out, due to the fact that it is a two-minute one-shot point-of-view segment. Which means I can't just plop down base-poses and slap in audio and call it blocked - I have to actually animate all of the major elements, for pacing purposes.
BUT! That's all done, and I have decided to share it all with you now! This is the entire void sequence, up to where it transitions into the shop where the main event takes place. Again, I really want to stress that this is just blocked animation - it is absolutely not final! It is a heavy work-in-progress, and so please temper your expectations accordingly!

The music added is not final, but is a super rough cut I put together as a general idea of how the scene might come together - and also to serve as chaff, to discourage any dishonest folks from trying to cut out audio from this sample for their own purposes. I don't think anyone would find a use for these particular lines, but the rule34 community are artists true when it comes to perverting otherwise innocent lines - see anything on NaughtyMachinima for evidence of that!
The voices are provided by the beautiful SilkyMilk (Elizabeth), the dashing Steve Hamm (Robert), and the entracing Samara Soto (Rosalind). They all did fantastic jobs, and for each recording their parts in total isolation from each other, I think they did an absolutely splendidly in forming that natural chemistry that is the ideal. I'd argue that you'd never know these people weren't in the same room at time of recording, personally.
And speaking of voices, my Shopkeep did indeed manage to deliver over the weekend! He did an absolutely fantastic job, and I think you guys and gals will all agree that the personality his performance adds to the character adds dimensions that the screenplay couldn't even scratch at.
With any luck, the sex sequence taking 2 days longer than I anticipated will be have its delay partially reclaimed by the 21st. That's my new goal for having all of the non-sex audio in place. Lip-syncing would be nice, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it. With any luck, Silky will be resituated and ready to tackle the dubbing by the evening of the 19th, so I can finish this week's stream and then toss it off to her to do her magic. I'm not sure yet if I am going to have both Silky and the Shopkeep record their dubs separately and then try to merge them together in post, or have Silky record her dub and then have him record his using hers as a guide. Both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages.
Regardless, I am hoping for the 24th's progress report to be that the animation is in its final stages of polish, that the entire thing has been sent off for the sound designer to work his magic, and for everything to be on course for a release in the first week of November. It's optimistic thinking, but then, I'm an optimistic person.
We'll see how things go. Until next week, everyone!
