Weekly Update 06/06/2020
Added 2020-06-06 08:47:37 +0000 UTCA week off my Ass :-P A lot has happened during the past week. Here’s what’s changed:
Stories Progression:
- Moran Eden – concept in redesign.
- Holly and the City – 500 words for chapter 5 – To the patron who suggested Valencia, she’s in this one (If you want more information contact me). Chelsea Liu is in chapter 6.
Want your girl with Holly? Head over to your section on the website and fill the form.
CGI
After thinking about this new venture and consulting with Luna (we all know she’s the master of puppets) I have decided to promote my CGI work. Here is how it will work and how it will affect you:
- We have a different Patreon page and website section dedicated to CGI.
- I will keep writing just as before. Sometimes I may add CGI to stories, but the format here will mostly stay the same.
- As a thank you to you, I will be publishing work from my CGI page here, for free, for the next three months (June to August). After that, the two pages will operate independently and you can decide what, and how, you want to support.
- We have a Twitter for the CGIs. I would appreciate it if you gave it a look (@Neolime69).
Taxes Come to Patreon
To the best of my understanding, Patreon should start charging tax for pledges during this month. I am still figuring out how this works (apparently some stuff has more taxes than others) and what are the implications of this change. I am being told that, at max, we are talking about an extra cent or two per pledge.
I will provide you with more information once I have it, and will work to cut taxes here as low as I can. Unfortunately, the law prohibits I take the taxes on myself, and as you all know I am a law-abiding individual, just like you.
Charging Method and Poll.
Currently, I am pondering the charging method for this page and would like to hear what you think.
Right now, you are charged per chapter/story the advantage is clear: you pay only for what you get. But I can also publish 3 stories in one month which is a downside.
If we change to monthly charges, you will pay only once no matter how many stories come out during the month. But you pay even if I don’t put out anything (and as my old readers know, my production rate fluctuates through the year depending on my studies and life).
With both advantages and disadvantages explained, what do you think? Monthly charge? Or per story/chapter?
Stay safe,
Neolime
