Bit more complex than that since we have to take into account how many people want to use SubscribeStar. It may be better to introduce them to the game on Patreon, a site they more likely already use or are comfortable with, and then they can make the jump. Hard to gauge. I know that 100% of patrons won't or can't move though, so we're considering how to do something that benefits everybody if we do eventually migrate PO.

That may be the case, but it may not. The platform has flexed here, and they did it on one of their contributors. They make money from people like E's team, and they also become more powerful. I have seen platforms like this one degrade into lawless craziness before. I've seen them also turn into powertripping daycares. This seems to be moving in the direction of the latter. A month ago, the platform was aware of E's content, but it didn't care. Now it's trying to crackdown, albeit gently, but what about the next time? Migration is the best way to ensure that upon release, this isn't a children's book.

Guys. We know what we have to do to save content creation in general. Ero can only do so much. If you want to support Eromancer's work, and their team's right to make whatever the hell kind of video game that they want, then make the switch. The content P asked them to remove wasn't hurting anyone. It's a power play.

Have you considered promoting Subscribestar as the main platform going forward? I think it will be very hard to get people to switch over otherwise. Of course I don't mean just dropping Patreon. Keep it as long as necessary, but having as many subs on Subscribestar as possible would make your funding much more secure. You never know when Patreon could just change their mind and just ban you outright. If everything goes well you might even be able to drop Patreon sometime in the future and get your creative freedom back.

For sure ^-^. That scenario is very optimistic since many patrons rely on Paypal -- I think our SubStar and Itch presence will grow more gradually. Once we have that flexibility though we gain options.

I cannot fathom what the world is coming to, but I get a feeling that it is nothing good. This sucks. A lot. It's so pointless that it's not worth reasoning over, and they're so unilateral that none of the thousands of people who are supporting this page have a say. I only have one question left. If we ALL go to Subscribestar, will you restore the game to how it is supposed to be shown?

Swapped to SubscribeStar. Sorry to see what happened to this project. Hopefully future games can launch on SubscribeStar and stay on track. Looking forward to the Feb/March releases to get a better idea of where the game is actually heading.

Already swapped over to SubscribeStar. Aside from me not liking the way Patreon kinda' hamstrung you guys, I have to say, SubscribeStar is a WAY more user-friendly site. Seriously, can't get over how well designed and how many more features are available there.

The most important thing is the game being stable, playable, fun and alive. The offending content can happily come after in different ways. As long as the porn is there and the game is fun to play, that's what matters right now more than anything and helping the team ease into more content/stability/features overall makes things easier, faster and better in the long run.

I like this idea. That way content could continue to be made without being forced to rework other things, and you run no risk of losing something some of us really like and may lose because of Patreon.

so i'm confused, are you still modifying your content despite moving to a different platform? As I can speculate, you're changing your animations so you can keep your presence (and cash cow) here, but you're simultaneously moving to a different platform that can allow for the original work. Wouldn't it make more sense to keep original content and simply censor it here as that would, id imagine at least, put your artists back to the drawing board on already finished products? I know, I know, I'm an armchair perspective over here but it seems strange

Do you think there is any chance you will do some sort of offsite patch to "restore" any offending content? I'm not super familiar with the specifics but I think I've seen the step/incest games do something like that.

I'm in for the cause, I'll jump over to SubscribeStar come the beginning of next month. After really looking into what has happened I'm no longer a fan of Patreon telling creators what they can or can't create. It's stupid.

There's a $10 Inner Circle tier on SubscribeStar if you want to switch ^-^. If not, we will still update here as usual. Subscribing there simply gets us closer to being able to release content without restrictions.
