Thank you to Madman and Foxipso for helping test the asset before release!
Thank you to Kazy for helping record and edit video!
*To use the face tracking integration, face tracking hardware and a VRCFT compatible avatar is required.
**As of VRChat 2024.4.2 (Open Beta), Contact Receivers marked as Local Only no longer count towards the avatar's performance ranking. Currently, they still count towards the limit of 256 contacts on the avatar in the SDK.

Substance Painter project for editing textures:
Navigate to Assets/Sacred/Candycane, and drag either the PC or Quest version onto the root of your avatar (the object that has the Avatar Descriptor.)
Expand the Candycane prefab, click on the "[MOVE ME] Right Hand" object, and move it to where your avatar's right hand is. The left hand position will be automatically adjusted.
Move "[MOVE ME] Mouth" to where you'd like to hold the candycane from when it's in your mouth, and move "[MOVE ME] Lick" to be just outside of your mouth, where your avatar's tongue would be if it was stuck out.
If the candycane is too small or too large, find the "Toggle" object under World Container > Candycane Container > Transform, and change its scale.
Done! Upload your avatar and try it out ^^
If you'd like to hide the hologram previews, expand each of the "MOVE ME" objects and hide the "[PREVIEW]" objects.
Turn on the candycane
Open your radial menu, go to the Candycane sub-menu, and hit Enable.
Letting go/Drop in world
Make an open hand gesture
Swapping hands
Option 1: Drop in the world first, pick up with other hand. You can also turn your hand over and pick it up that way!
Option 2: Hold both hands together, make an open hand gesture on the hand the candycane is currently held in, and a fist with the other hand.
Flick to reverse grip
While doing a fingergun gesture, flick your wrist up or down.
Sharpening
Option 1: Put the end of the candycane in your mouth (or someone elses), and it will slowly become more pointy.
Option 2: Slide the end against your lips/tongue, like you're licking it, and it will also become pointy.
Option 3: You can use the Sharpness radial puppet in the Candycane sub-menu to control the sharpness. This is also how you can reset the sharpness.
Currently, the prefab is set up to be right-handed by default. For now, you can find the FX controller, and for both the Local and Remote sides, make the transitions from "Disabled" to "Right Hand" point to "Left Hand" instead. If you'd like a version where it's left handed by default, please let me know in my discord, and I will if the demand is there!
