we have a problem
Added 2024-07-12 13:55:46 +0000 UTCThis week, while we were preparing for the steel measurements, we uncovered several new problematic spots in our home. These include everything from a nail in a pipe (stay tuned for next week's podcast) to several sections of our floor joists that need to be replaced. It's a bit of a setback, but at the end of the day, it could be a lot worse! Hope everyone had an awesome week. - Nick

Is it a cast iron pipe? Can't imagine that nail really is doing anything. But if it is cast iron, do yourselves a huge financial favor and replace with ABS while you have the floor open. We're in the middle of figuring out a similar problem except we have a concrete slab. Removing that is a HUGE mess. And pricey. Luckily we haven't replaced the floors yet (they've been on the to-do list for 3yrs). Now we're moving back out & replacing it all... π°π°π°π°π°π°
